9g, 2.25" length, per earring. Silversmith Duane Maktima belongs to the Rabbit Tobacco Clan of Hopi and the Parrot Clan of the Laguna Pueblo. Rosarita, a very unique material, is essentially a gold-infused glass. It a by-product of the 1960s and 1970s gold refining processes from the Alaskan beach sand, which was smelted for its gold content. The rich, red color is derived from this process.
Excellent condition: The piece is in near new condition with no visible damage or signs of wear. The gold, rosarita, agate and chalcedony, are all intact and show no signs of non natural cracks.
