Number 8 turquoise is highly sought after by collectors. It was discovered in 1925 and was named Number 8, as it is an 8 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. Most turquoise is 4 or 5 on the Mohs scale.
Very good condition: The piece has minor cosmetic imperfections, such as a horizontal crack in the middle of the stone visible with magnification, but does not detract from its overall appearance. The materials are in very good condition and show only minor signs of wear consistent with age or prior use.
