Group of 3 Plateau Beaded Leather Items c. 1890-1940s.

White beaded leather purse with floral design:  Cotton, Sinew, leather, multi-colored seed beads. 5.5" x 7.5" x 1"

Black & red beaded leather pouch: Cotton sewn, multi-colored seed beads. 3.75" x 3.75" x .25"

Belt: Cotton sewn, multi-colored seed beads. 44" x 3.25"

 

Condition

White beaded leather purse with floral design:  Very good condition: This purse has some minor bead loss on the strap, the leather is flexible. Overall, the materials are in very good condition and show only minor signs of wear consistent with age or prior use.

Black & red beaded pouch: Good to fair condition: This purse is functional but has bead loss, loose strings to the front and back side, and general wear to the cloth materials around the sides and opening. 

Belt: Very good condition: Overall, the materials are in very good condition and show only minor signs of wear consistent with age or prior use.

Terms for all Purchases: The "Purchase Price" for each lot shall equal the hammer price, buyer's premium, sales tax, and, if applicable all packing, handling, insurance, and shipping costs. Buyers must pay the full Purchase Price for each purchased lot within 14 days after the date of the auction. If the lot reaches above $50,000 in dollar value. The lot must be paid by ACH transfer. Unless exempt by law, the Purchaser will be required to pay any and all applicable state taxes. In the event of deliveries outside of Arizona, it is the Purchaser's responsibility to pay any compensating or use tax of another state on the purchase price. All monies shall be made payable to Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery. At the Gallery's discretion, payment will not be deemed to be complete until funds represented by checks or credit cards have been cleared and fully processed by Seller's bank, usually within 1-10 days. We reserve the right to hold shipment until payments clear the bank. The title shall not pass to the Buyer until all invoices are paid in full.

Acquired from a private collection in New York. The owner inherited this item from her parents were the owners of Th Many Horses Trading Company, located in Sonoita, Arizona for 21 years.
