The painting is in near-mint condition, with no visible signs of wear or damage. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the canvas is tight and intact. There is a slight separation in the frame corner mortise left lower corner- please see photos.

Goodacre received numerous awards during her lifetime including the Gold Medal from the National Academy of Design and numerous awards from the National Sculpture Society. She also was the recipient of the Knickerbocker Artists' Gold Medal for Distinguished Achievement in American Art. She is noted for the Vietnam Women's Memorial in Washington D.C., Ronald Regan's life-size bronze at the Reagan Library in California, and the monumental Irish Memorial project in Philadelphia.
