Wilson Tawaquaptewa - Hopi Kachina c. 1935, 10" x 4" x 2.5"  This doll was collected in 1935

Condition

This kachina is in good condition, with slight surface wear. There was an old break to one of the feet, which has been repaired. The wood used for the repair was not a part of the original piece. The doll is glued to a non-native wooden base. "Unbreakable Safetyware" is inscribed on the bottom of the wooden base.  The nose is original but reglued.

In the event of deliveries outside of Arizona, it is the Purchaser's responsibility to pay any compensating or use tax of another state on the purchase price. All monies shall be made payable to Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery. At the Gallery's discretion, payment will not be deemed to be complete until funds represented by checks or credit cards have been cleared and fully processed by Seller's bank, usually within 1-10 days. We reserve the right to hold shipment until payments clear the bank. The title shall not pass to the Buyer until all invoices are paid in full.

Ex Arizona collection. This piece was gifted to the owner's husband's grandmother, who collected it in the Southwest in 1935.
